It was the first vent in print of the term "rocaille" to designate the style.[10] The carved or molded seashell motif was total like palm leaves or twisting vines to gild doorways, furniture, wall panels and further architectural elements.[11]In the 19th century, the term was used to portray architecture or music which was excessively ornamental.[12][13] back the mid-19th century, the term has been all the rage by art historians. even if there is still some debate more or less the historical significance of the style, Rococo is now often considered as a determined period in the expansion of European art.
